Because your project is too important to subcontract it out to some uninsured roofing crew, all roofing and sheet metal work is performed by Texas Roofing Company’s own highly trained personnel.

Our in-house sheet metal shop

We employ full time roofing and sheet metal mechanics trained in all aspects of roofing for industrial and commercial structures. Regardless of the project size, our craftsmen are experienced in giving our customers a job of high quality and long durability.

Our in-house sheet metal shop provides the added dimensions of speciality sheet metal capabilities. Your metal work is field verified for measurements and custom fabricated on our computerized fabrication break to exacting job conditions and specifications for a quality, waterproof fit and neat appearance.

Additionally, as authorized applicators for all major manufacturers of built-up and modified roofing systems, we are able to offer our clients a variety of extended warranties. We are also approved applicators for high performance single-ply systems.

We have expertise in a wide variety of roofing systems including hybrid roofing systems, cold adhesive systems and torch applied systems. We realize no one roof system is right for every project, so after a complete analysis and review of your existing system or your current project plans for a new construction project, we will tailor a system to match your goals. All aspects including budget constraints will be evaluated to find the best methods and materials suited for your project.

A reputation built on quality

Texas Roofing specializes in commercial, institutional and industrial low-sloped roofing and architectural standing seam metal roofing, including all types of built-up roofing, modified bitumen and single-ply systems. We are approved by most major manufacturers to install their warranted roof systems. These manufacturers include Johns Manville, GAF, Carlisle, Tamko, US Ply, Garland, Siplast, and Firestone.

As a third generation roofing contractor, our president, Rick Birkman, has been involved in commercial roofing for over 30 years and in the Central Texas area for over twenty-five years. He is also active in the industry on a local and statewide level as a past-president of the Roofing Contractor's Association of Texas and past board member of the American Subcontractors Association of Texas and member of the Contractor's Roundtable. He has also served a three year term on the board of directors of the National Roofing Contractors Association. Mr. Birkman serves as the senior project manager and estimator on all of our projects.

We employ some of the best roofing and sheet metal mechanics in the business. Our senior vice-president & general superintendent is Gary Mears. Mr. Mears is responsible for all field operations and has been in the roofing and sheet metal business for 25 years. He comes to us from a large roofing contractor where he was in charge of all sheet metal operations. Previously, he was the general superintendent for 10 years at one of the largest roofing contractors in the state.

David Nance is the vice-president in charge of all administrative functions. He is a native Austinite and University of Texas graduate. He oversees all of our administrative and financial operations. He is also the safety director and contact person for all insurance and bonding considerations ensuring compliance with all contractual and governmental requirements.
